The Junior Business Controller will be responsible for providing support to the Head of Commercial Control in monitoring and analyzing the financial performance of the business. This role will focus on assisting in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, data analysis, and performance tracking to ensure commercial objectives are met. The Junior Business Controller will play a key role in supporting to provide accurate financial insights to support business decisions, improving processes, and ensuring adherence to financial standards.

What will you do

• Assist the Head of Commercial Control in the preparation and analysis of the monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports .
• Support the preparation of budgets and (long term-) forecasts, ensuring alignment with the business strategy.
• Provide detailed analysis of business performance, including sales, cost structures, and profitability against relative benchmarks (eg last year and/or budget).
• Help identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement in financial performance.
• Gather, organize, and analyze financial data to support decision-making processes.
• Identify opportunities for process automation or enhancement to improve efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of Business Cases for either the commercial teams or product management to drive decision making.
• Support period-end close processes which may include reconciliation of internal accounts, comparing actual performance to latest financial outlook, preparing revenue and expense accruals and reviewing accuracy of revenue, gross margin and expense information.

What you will bring to the table

• Educational background in finance, controlling or a related discipline.
• Knowledge or affinity with management control, process improvement, planning and control cycles, business cases and cost management.
• Ability to easily analyze data and work with various BI tools (Netsuite and Qliksense would be a plus).

You have fluent English language skills as Bugaboo is an international company.
