Procurement Specialist

Purpose:
As a Procurement Specialist at Bugaboo, your role is vital in managing product-related hardware goods and services, ensuring cost management, quality, and timely delivery, all while adhering to corporate guidelines. You'll also be responsible for managing project buyer activities and exploring new technology during New Concept Development (NCD) and New Product Development (NPD) phases.
What Will You Do?
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet Bugaboo’s standards for price, quality, corporate social responsibility (CSR), timing, and reliability.
- Manage the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, including supplier bids, tenders, proposals, and quotations.
- Track raw material market price trends and collaborate with the procurement manager to propose solutions for cost reduction.
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best prices and meet cost-down targets for each category material.
- Execute sourcing activities during the NCD and NPD phases.
- Manage suppliers to ensure stable supply chains, addressing quality issues, delivery delays, and service complaints.
- Contribute to supplier agreement and contract management.
- Support the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) within the sourcing and procurement departments.
What You Will Bring to the Table
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in procurement or a related field.
- Educational background in mechanical engineering or related disciplines.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with international supplier agreements.
- Knowledge of cost price calculation, quality control, and the manufacturing processes for plastics, metals, packaging, and hardware.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in supplier relationship management and executing commodity strategies.
- Ability to work independently, using data-driven insights to meet organizational goals.
- You’re a problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment and can navigate challenges with integrity and transparency.
