Your aim as a JOB TITLE is to CREATE/MAKE/LEAD… to ensure Bugaboo FILL IN.
You are part of the TEAM NAME team and report to the MANAGER POSITION.
What will you do
1. Own the overall Soft Goods (SG) product development and sourcing strategy in the organization. Lead, manage, engage, coach and develop SG product development and sourcing team to execute all assigned projects and deliver on agreed KPIs. Ensure all key stakeholders’ relationships are effectively managed.
2. Own relationship with the company’s SG vendors’ portfolio (Tier 1 and sub-suppliers) ensuring transparency of performance according to agreed specifications and SLA agreements. Provide regular management reporting on the commodity’s performance. Define and negotiate the best commercial contracts with suppliers in line with company’s code of conduct, quality, cost, and supply chain requirements. Support product category management by driving and realizing continuous improvements of product performance in line with the sustaining road map and non-conformances.
3. Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies able to fulfill new product roadmap and business requirements, by leading cross-functional team collaboration efforts (design, product management, engineering, quality, finance etc.). Identify and manage critical to success design & manufacturing processes and translate product development requirements into an optimal value chain and supplier allocation. This includes fabrics development, semi-finished and finished goods development. Follow up on sourcing projects’ progress, planning, opportunities, costs, risks, mitigation plans and terms to meet each sourcing project objectives.
4. Analyze market of the assigned product(s) to assess competitiveness, availability, capability, trends, and future needs of company. Calculate total cost of procurement, perform cost/scenario analysis and benchmarking, and suggest methods to decrease expenditure. Identify and develop areas of innovation. Invent negotiation strategies and optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
5. Ongoingly assess supply risks and rigorously apply risk mitigation plans in the category.
6. Ensure timely communication of results, progress and escalation of challenges related to supply status, risks, time, cost and quality to functional heads, COO, Operations MT or other key stakeholders.
7. Lead, manage, engage, coach and develop Soft Goods development and sourcing team to execute all assigned projects and deliver on agreed KPIs. Ensure all key stakeholders’ relationships are effectively managed.
8. Ensure collaboration with broad portfolio of stakeholders (design, engineering, quality, finance, procurement, manufacturing etc.) to align category direction, guarantee agreements on terms, specifications, SLAs, processes, and necessary transparent communication.
9. Set up commercial guidelines and service level agreements with respective suppliers to increase flexibility in work force and capacity planning.
10. Ensure adequate staffing of the team / cross-functional projects in cooperation with department heads to execute sourcing strategies.
What you will bring to the table
-
1. Educational background or extensive experience in Fabric Engineering or Manufacturing preferred
2. In depth understanding of soft goods product development and different manufacturing processes in fabrics like weaving, knitting, dying, stitching, heat pressing, flame bonding, fabrics surface treatment, assembly, etc.
3. Good knowledge of Supplier Relationship Management, China / SEA sourcing, OEM/ODM, international trade and supply chain optimization
4. Knowledge of ISO9001, SA8000, CSR, advanced product quality planning (APQP), quality assurance, control techniques, compliance, corrective action cycles and Six Sigma tools and techniques
5. Awareness of local laws, code of conduct and regulations applying to supplier contracts and liability
6. Knowledge of financial analysis, Total Cost of Ownership approach, budgeting, financial risk management and open book costing and product P&L
7. Proficient in English, both written and verbal, Chinese language an advantage
8. Frequent travel to suppliers is required
