As Operations Controller, you serve as the key finance business partner to the Chief Operations Officer and the Operations Leadership Team. The COO oversees Operations, Logistics, Supply & Inventory Planning (SIOP) and Engineering. This includes supporting our Xiamen-based factory team and an extensive external supplier network—together representing the largest share of Group Spend. Driving continuous efficiency and cost-effectiveness improvements is essential to strengthening overall business profitability. 

What will you do

Performance & Financial Management

• Drive budgeting and forecasting for Operations, aligned with strategic goals.

• Monitor KPIs and provide clear, actionable performance insights.

• Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

• Support period-end close with reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.

• Create financial models and analyses that support fast, data-driven decisions.

• Safeguard financial governance and oversee cost control and investment discipline.

Strategic Business Partnering

• Act as the financial partner to Operations leadership—advising, challenging, and influencing decisions.

• Provide dashboards, reports, and tools for real-time decision support.

• Serve as a sparring partner with an independent view on performance.

• Build robust business cases and financial models for new initiatives.

• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration to drive aligned, data-led decision-making.

Process Improvement & Risk Management

• Identify and implement improvements in planning, reporting, and performance monitoring.

• Leverage digital solutions and automation to streamline workflows.

• Strengthen financial controls and risk mitigation across Operations.

• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing margin insights and operational efficiency.

Profile requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting, Master’s degree preferred 

• 10 years of experience in business control, FP&A, or data insights 

• Strong financial acumen, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills 

• Expertise in planning and control cycles, business cases, and data analysis 

• Proficiency with ERP systems, BI tools, and financial applications 

• Ability to balance strategic perspective with hands-on execution 

• Change management and project leadership experience 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent in English 

• Previous experience as manufacturing controller is a pre
