Your aim as a Demand & Supply Planner is to: 1) act as business partner for a commercial region and together create a realistic demand plan (forecast), 2) create a supply plan and manage inventory levels in-line with the in-stock and service levels targeted, 3) champion an S&OE process that ensures swift actions and best possible fulfillment of plans.
You are part of the S&OP team and will report to the S&OP Sr. Manager.
What will you do
Be a business partner to commercial regions by analyzing demand data and aligning on the sales forecast. You focus on deep understanding of your market(s) commercial environment, and you translate key insights into inputs for our Machine Learning forecasting model. You discuss risks / opportunities to the Sales Plans and you support sales in inventory planning throughout the year.
Create and execute towards supply and inventory plans in the short to mid-term horizon (up to 18 months) for Bugaboo’s own factory and outsourced suppliers aligned with business objectives to achieve cost, cash and service targets.
Manage fulfillment planning and execution through effective inventory and stock replenishment models. Maintain and ensure data accuracy for key parameters and settings in our advanced planning system and support master data management for executing the desired planning models.
You bring your voice to the table. Ensure continuous improvement of supply chain and commercial planning processes through demand and supply analysis, insights development, implementing best practices and by leading or participating in cross functional project teams.
Participate periodically in and support further professionalization of the SIOP processes. Provide effective and timely reporting of supply, demand and inventory, preparing input and escalations for discussion and decision making.
Requirements
Educational background in Supply Chain Management or Economics. You bring relevant experience in forecasting, demand, and supply planning roles (including retail planning, trading and merchandising). A good mix of commercial mindset and supply chain operational excellence.
You define as an enthusiastic team player who actively collaborates within the team and cross-functionally; you are curious, you share ideas, you seek inputs and bring positive energy to the work environment.
Confidence to build strong relationships and have critical conversations with the Sales Teams and Managing Directors; you influence through key (data driven) insights and the ability to present them in compact, easy to digest formats.
Basic understanding of Sales and Operations Planning to align supply and demand strategies, as well as successfully executing towards them.
A natural inquisitive spirit. Analysis and problem-solving skills such as the ability to question, accurately identify a need, and present an effective solution are needed in this role. You are highly data and number literate and are able to follow and understand big-picture economic trends.
Advanced Excel skills - comfort in using complex formulas, pivot tables and data analysis to support your deep-dive analysis as needed. We work with an advanced planning system so familiarity with similar (semi-automated) solutions is desirable. The appetite to learn and interact with machine learning demand planning systems is a must.
You have fluent English language skills as Bugaboo is an international company.
As teamwork is essential in this role, you will need to be present in the office 2-3 times per week. Additionally, since this is an internationally focused position, a flexible mindset is important, as you may occasionally need to be available to collaborate with colleagues in other time zones.
