Do you know exactly what it takes to translate commercial needs into innovative and high-quality products? Do you like to be part of a team of ambitious product developers who won’t settle for less than the best strollers in the market?
As a Product Developer for OEM Projects, you are the bridge between visionary design and technical reality. You are a creative engineer who understands the delicate balance between design intent and mechanical performance without ever losing sight of product safety as the primary concern. You will define product requirements and engineer 3D CAD models to a level where our global suppliers can take over for production-ready development. You are effective in managing external engineering partners and have a hands-on "get it done" mentality when it comes to testing and perfecting prototypes for both the Joolz and the Bugaboo brand.
What will you do
Engineering Excellence: Convert technical product concepts into high-quality CAD models (Solidworks) that serve as the foundation for manufacturing.
Requirements Management: Translate commercial needs into technical specifications and validation plans, ensuring the final product meets the high standards of the Bugaboo and Joolz brands.
OEM Management: Outsource specialist work and supervise external engineers to ensure project quality; you are the technical gatekeeper for our supplier-led engineering.
Testing & Validation: Supervise and assess test results to verify prototypes against requirements; you ensure our products meet technical standards as well as market and user needs.
Problem Solving: Identify design bottlenecks early and propose data-driven solutions; you also tackle quality improvements for our existing product portfolio.
Process Leadership: Design and maintain our software management systems for CAD files and ensure all technical project documentation is meticulously recorded.
Innovation: Stay at the forefront of technical developments in the industry, integrating new working methods and standards into our projects.
What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Industrial Design Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
0-7 years of experience in product development, preferably within the premium durable consumer goods industry.
Technical Mastery: Excellent CAD modeling skills (Solidworks) and a deep understanding of the "fuzzy front-end" of concept development.
Supplier Savvy: Proven experience in outsourcing engineering and managing external partners/OEMs.
Prototyping Mindset: A practical, hands-on approach; you don’t hesitate to build early-stage prototypes to test your ideas.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities combined with a creative eye for design intent; you are a problem-solver who can support choices with clear arguments.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
